Hassles like not getting a legitimate parking ticket would soon be a thing of the past as Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) has directed its private parking contractors to install automatic boom barricades for monitored ticketing.
The move is likely to stop pilfering of lakhs of rupees in revenue for the corporation with 24X7 camera surveillance.
BMC intends to modernise and organise the revenue collection from municipal parking spaces in the state capital. To begin with, 14 parking lots have been identified for multilevel, boundary enclosed and open parking near main commercial areas.
BMC officials said the system would focus on ensuring transparent management system and surveillance of the vehicle parking lots.
